Water In Fuel Emulsion Control

The ZT-100 WIFE line of meters are designed to measure and control Water In Fuel Emulsions (WIFE).

Our units have successfully passed trial stages for large Marine Engine manufacturers and recently been deployed in new-built ships. Container ship SafMarine Chambal (MAERSK Owned) being the worlds first new-build fitted with Water In Fuel Injection already from the ship-yard in Korea. The ZT-100 WIFE being an integral part in the system.

WIFE Configurations

Adaptable Connections

The Water In Fuel Monitor can be adapted to different configurations. The ZT-100 can be fitted with a variety of connections to suit ships constructed anywhere in the world.

Extended Neck Option

It is common to use the ZT-100 WIFE on very hot pipes so we provide an option with extended necks keeping the electronics away from the heat.

Emission Reduction

Water-in-fuel emulsion technology reduces NOx emissions and improves combustion efficiency — but only when the emulsion ratio is precisely maintained.

Proven Track Record

Successfully deployed on new-build container ships and passed trial stages for major marine engine manufacturers worldwide.

Applications

Marine Engine WIFE Systems

Measurement and control of water-in-fuel emulsion ratios for large marine diesel engines. Ensures optimal emulsion for NOx reduction and combustion efficiency.

New-Build Ships

Integrated into water-in-fuel injection systems during ship construction at yards worldwide.

Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO)

Water content monitoring in heavy fuel oil systems where temperature and viscosity create challenging measurement conditions.

Retrofit Installations

Adding water-in-fuel emulsion control to existing vessel engine systems for emission reduction compliance.
